Post Harvest: One method is soon after harvest, sear the ends for 7-10 seconds with an open flame or boiling water to seal sap, and place in water with flower food. Another method is to pick and store dry for up to a week in a closed dry cardboard box in the cooler. No need to sear as the stems will seal themselves. When ready to use, stand the stems upright in clean water in the cooler, and the buds will open the next day.
