FALL PLANTING - plants delivered mid-October. Annual - cold hardy to zones 5-6.
Planted in ground, ideal time to plant is when cool temps are in the 60s, and soil temps between 45 to 65 degrees. Zones 5 and 6, row cover will extend time for plants to develop roots. Blooms might be minimal, but they will put on a show in spring. Zones 7 & 8 mid-October is great; ideal planting temps still apply. Zones 9 & 10 best planted November to December. Plants will most likely bloom right through Winter to Spring. In colder zones once roots are established, plants will go dormant and bloom in spring.
Specialty premium Japanese pansies bred by Isao Sato. Not your average pansies and sold exclusively as plug starts, so no seeds are available. The cooler the temperatures, the larger the blooms!
Plant in late September to mid November so roots can establish before hard freezes. This allows them to bloom through the fall, mild winter days, and put on a strong show in early spring.
